Back home

Sorry for not posting these days, hope you had a great weekend!
My beau boyfriend took me on a trip and we spend friday till monday out.
Monday was a national holiday here in Spain, at least that what I thought it was until I received some phone calls from customers from the south of Spain, who were working.
To give you an idea how lazy my weekend was, here is a pic I took with my Iphone.
We stayed in one of Spain many Paradores. Paradores are mostly castles and other historic buildings
that they turned into hotels and to have a lovely stay and enjoy their ancient history.
Have a look on their Parador website. Think about visiting at least one whenever you are going to visit Spain.
During our trips visiting nearby villages we can across many pilgrims who were walking the Camino de Santiago.
It was a great weekend with good food and a lot of sun bathing.

my favorite Etsy picks today

Sometimes I can´t help myself, falling in love with the vintage items from the sellers over at Etsy.
Here is what I picked out for you:
This faux bamboo night stand with ring pulls. The same seller also offers the elephant as a vase.

These pretty and original vintage vogue prints, so you can make a collection of them
to hang them either in your closet or boudoir.

This vintage crane bird ice bucket with gold detailing is very Lonny Magazine.
This is a vintage lucite ice bucket/chest, not cheap but such a great eye catcher on your bar cart for sure.

Diane Bergeron

Diane Bergeron´s house was published on many blogs and magazines, probably you have seen images of her work and her house many times before.
She was featured in the Spanish AD magazine, the dutch residence and now also on the Adore magazine

Diane has been an Interior Designer for over 20 years, styling homes all over the world. She has a fresh approach to design and use of fabric have earned her a renowned reputation among designers and clients.

Reading her blog, I noticed that she loves rummaging around an estate sales to find some vintage treasures, she is a woman after my own heart.
Maybe that´s why her house appeals to me so much, she has mixed cheap and expensive together, she has used a lot of Madeline Weinrib fabrics and rugs and she loves faux bamboo, ikat and she´s not afraid to use color and bold black and white stripes, chevron or zebra in her interior.

Kiki´s list Butterfly collection - Taxidermy

Thanks to Jenny from The little green notebook I came across Krista´s blog called Kiki´s list.
She made a collection of butterlies - taxidermy, but without the real butterflies.
She used these plastic wedding cake ones, and they look fantastic.
So inspired!

The kings speech

Have spend a lovely day with my mother, this afternoon
we watched the movie "the king's speech"
I never knew so much of the British monarchy and their
history but I was quite impressed by Wallis Simpson, she made
the former King Edward VIII fall in love with her and he gave up the trone for
her as it was not possible for the king marry a divorsed woman
in those days.
i was so inspired with Wallis style for clothes, in
the year 1934 she was very stylish for her time.
